I'd like to propose a new feature. Or rather restore old one - a file (or set of files) containing bookmarks, which could be used from many computers in the same building or by all users in given computer. Many years ago Netscape was using such file. I had it saved in the directory on server in my work places and could use these bookmarks from any computer connected to that server (visible as one more drive or directory in Windows). The path to bookmark file was simply saved in Netscape's preferences. The disadvantage of that solution was, that anybody could modify that file, because it was in a public directory.

Today's features don't work well with such a format. We still support import/export of bookmarks to the Netscape html format, from the Library / Import & Backup menu.
there's also a browser.bookmarks.autoExportHTML preference that automatically exports the html file on browser shutdown.
