https://secure.pub.build.mozilla.org/buildapi/pending says we have 3.5 hours of backlogged WINNT build jobs. All non-try trees are closed.
I can see jobs completing and new jobs starting. Unsure if there was a spike in requests.
I'm still seeing pending Windows build requests on all three trunk trees from pushes that happened four hours ago.
The current counts, 75 running non-try WINNT and 14 pending non-try WINNT going back a couple of hours, would sort of support an explanation something like "a release ate all the slaves," except that the only one I saw signs of existing around the critical time when things went south was a comm-esr38 release, and having a single release eat so many slaves we have to close for multiple hours would be... quite a change.
