Firefox for Android

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open the "Share tab" sync feature while browsing in Firefox.
2. Switch to the application switcher (where all running apps are listed)
[1]
3. Go to another app listed there.
4. Again go to the application switcher and choose "Add to Firefox" which is separate from the real Firefox app.

Device: Galaxy S4, Android 5.0.1

Actual results:

[1] You'll see the "Add to Firefox" as a single application.

[2] The sync devices list is in front of the other (not Firefox) app.
You can even get it to display this list on the home screen.

In the screenshot this is shown in front of Threema (https://threema.ch/).

Expected results:

Switch back to Firefox.

Hello,

I couldn't reproduce this issue following the steps from the description on the latest Nightly with a Samsung Galaxy S8+ Android 8.0.0.
Can you please check if this issue is still reproducible for you?

Thanks,
Andrei

Yes, I can still reproduce this with FFv61.0, LineageOS 14.1.

Note that the feature "switch to last running application" you can assign to a menu key on LineageOS helps you to show the thing on any other application. You just;:
1. Switch to "Share with Firefox…"
2. Switch to another app, e.g. a notes app.
3. "Switch to last app" via LineageOS feature. That animates from the side…

I am attaching two more screenshots.

Oh, I am providing the needinfo, the other account seems to be an old one from me. Sorry.
Hello Rugk,

Thank you for the information.
Unfortunately I was not able to reproduce the issue following the steps from the Comment 3 with a Samsung Galaxy S8+ Android 8.0.0 on the FFv61 and on the latest Nightly.
Can you please provide more accurate steps(please include all the steps you do) and the devices and android version you used.
Also, you can try to make a video while you reproduce this issue(you can use AZ Screen Recorder from google play, it's free) and upload it.
I used a notes app as you mentioned in the example.

Thanks,
Andrei

LineageOS 14.1/Android 7
S4 as in OP.

Set one [hardware] key to "[Switch to] last running application" (it could be this option is only available in LineageOS) and use it to switch between apps. That's the key point in reproducing this!

I've recorded a screencast now, I also enabled on-screen buttons, so you can see where I press at.

Hello Rugk,

Thank you for the information.
I was able to reproduce this issue on the latest Nightly build with a Nexus 4 Android 5.1.1.

Setting one [hardware] key to "[Switch to] last running app I think is available only in Lineage OS(didn't find the option , but I installed "Button Mapper" from Google play and I manage to set the commands).
Setting this issue as New.

Thanks,
Andrei
