By basic tests I mean at least the following cases:
* Check that user can enter edit mode;
* Check that user can leave edit mode;
* Check Select All / Unselect All functionality;
* Check that user can delete selected conversations (including _all_ conversations).
----- as a nice bonus ----
* Check that user can mark conversations as read/unread.

Never worked with integration test. what framework we are using? and other details please.
