User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:39.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/39.0 Build ID: 20150629114917 Steps to reproduce: 1. Have some messages in Local Folders 2. Search for them 3. Try to open a search result 4. A found message blanks or gives welcome page (it is from Local Folders) Actual results: Cannot open messages from Local Folders returned as search result. Also, see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1074829 This bug has been affecting me for years, so I have finally decided to report. Usually I just browse to the pin-pointed message by hand. Expected results: Messages from local folders should work fine as others do.

Using global search (Ctrl+K), opening local message from global search preview results by clicking the subject line works just fine for me. odysei, which type of search are you using? Quick filter (ctrl+shift+k), global search (ctrl+k), advanced search (ctrl+shift+f)?
Flags: needinfo?(odysei)
ctrl+k seems to be the broken one. ctrl+shift+k and ctrl+shift+f work fine. Tried with all add ons off.
Flags: needinfo?(odysei)
This bug still persists.
Global search (Ctrl+K) doesn't work. The times I've obeserved this bug is when an e-mail is in my archive, i.e. Archive/2021.
To reproduce:
- search in global search
- click on a search result to open the e-mail
- an empty message window is shown
I did remove and rebuild the global-messages-db.sqlite last week.

Hi there, this bug persists for me on 115.3.1, it didn't on any of the 102 versions. On Windows 10 throughout.
As above, advanced search works, but global search (search bar/ ctrl K) does not. Filtering (ctrl shift K ) does work, but obviously I have to be in the right folder first, which kind of defies the purpose as I have a lot of folders.
Thanks!
