To be honest I kind of forgot that I had submitted this, it's been awhile. But I actually think that the issue is with Microsof's OneDrive that is built into Windows 10. It might be advisable to check to see how the permissions are managed by OneDrive. it appears if you have OneDrive enabled to back up your settings including pictures and what not and other documents it makes a real mess of the permissions and outright blocks 3rd party non Microsoft products from accessing certain folders. I also know that I am not the only one that has had this issue, I have seen it reported in a few different forums. so it might be something worth looking in to, to say even popup a message box with something along the lines of "There is a known issues with OneDrive that could prevent you from saving to certain folders" After all Firefox is trying to be as user friendly as possible. and under a default installation of Windows 10 with OneDrive in it's current state, it could throw a lot of people for a bit of a loop.
Hey Chris, I tested this issue on OneDrive based on your latest comment (#3). But I cannot reproduce it. If you can still reproduce it, feel free to reopen the issue and provide more information. Thanks again.
