What version of Lightning do you use? What version of Thunderbird do you use? What platform do you use? Do you get any error messages in Tools > Error Console during startup? Could you elaborate about your workflow to produce this error?

What version of Lightning do you use? None, integrated into T'bird. What version of Thunderbird do you use? 38.2.0 What platform do you use? When T'bird is first started, it shows the correct date in the Today Pane. When returning after PC sleeping overnight, the Today Pane shows the previous day's date, even after "Get All Mail" is pressed.

Thunderbird 38.2 has known problems when returning from sleep/hibernation mode. Those problems affect Lightning too. Could you please retest with Thunderbird 38.3? There have been some reports about problems with Lightning functionality after upgrade to 38.3. In this case you might want to test with the latest official Lightning release from<https://addons.mozilla.org/thunderbird/addon/lightning/>.

Hello Aldo, does the problem still exists using Thunderbird 38.3 with Lightning 4.0.3.1?
Flags: needinfo?(acugnini)
Version: unspecified → Lightning 4.0.2
My experience is that Thunderbird 38.3.0 with Lightning 4.0.3.1 now updates the date on returning from overnight hibernation under Windows 7.

Problem apparently does not occur with Thunderbird 38.3.0 / Lightning 4.0.3.
