Actual results:

Hello, I have an email issue with Allizom and/or Mozilla site.

The last few days I have been receiving emails from [e-mail] and they are not normal. By that i mean I have been getting 1 or 2 emails every hour on the hour, but at times like 9:30, 10:30 , 11:30 and others, I now have about 30+ emails and they don't stop coming. 

At first I thought it was virus protection causing issue but today I logged directly into mail server before I did anything else and I had 11 or 12 more messages all from your site. As i said it is 1 or 2 emails every hour but at 9:30, 10:30 ect..

This issue just started the other day and I don't know why.


Expected results:

Only get emails when I expect to get one not 1 or 2 emails every hour.

please stop the mass emails to me. it is same email address listed for my bugzilla account.

We had a problem for the last several days where writes to our stage database were not being saved. In this case that means that the flag that the email had been sent didn't get saved, and the cron job would send the email again and again.

This should be fixed now. Thanks for filing this bug! If it comes up again, please re-open this bug.

Seems like the cronjob either shouldn't run on -stage (and -dev) or should run in some kind of "don't *actually* send the email" mode.

That's probably also useful, but the repeatedly sending emails issue is separate.
