From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.01; Windows NT 5.0) BuildID: 20020114 There seem to be multiple issues with re-freshing the screen for the Customize Sidebar window when you expand the International folder and the various country folders in it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Click Tabs | Customize folder 2. Leaving the window the default size, expand the International folder to see Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Spain, Sweden, UK. 3. Start with Brazil and open/close each contries folder to see if there are links within. (Note: Canada doesn't have a link, that's another bug that I'll open next) 4. When you get to Germany, you'll notice that the size of the list has grown to need a scroll bar on the side. Scroll down to see all links associated with Germany (It now says Deutschland, which refers to another bug that's already opened Bug 77348) 5. When you close the folder for Deutchland, the screen does not refresh properly. Actual Results: SCreen is not refreshed properly Expected Results: The screen should redraw/refresh properly I saw this on both OpenVMS as well as Linux, but it has to do with the size of the "Customize Sidebar" window. If you increase the size of the window before you expand the folders, there is no problem. If you shrink the size of the window, lots more issues pop-up with window refresh.
confirming. I see the bug...screen glitch after expanding all folders, then closing one of them. workaround is to scroll up and down to refresh screen.
Can't reproduce this consistently with the current testcase reported. Sujay, could you outline detaield steps to consistently reproduce this bug? Thanks.

Hmm...I just tried it again and now it works fine.. Jay, can you investigate this and come up with reproducible steps ? thanks...
I'm being pulled off of Mozilla testing and put on other tasks, so I don't have time for this issue, sorry. I'm not sure why your not able to reproduce this problem everytime following the original steps because I could. As I noted before, if you have increased the size of your "Customize Sidebar" window then the problem may not occur. I suggest making the "Customize Sidebar" window smaller before expanding the sub-folders, that way your sure to get a "scroll bar" added to the window, and I belive the problem occurs only AFTER the scroll bar shows up in the window. Good Luck!

I could not reproduce this problem on the latest OpenVMS release, 20020513. The folders have changed from when this front-end test was originally written, but the refresh seems to work alright. The other bugs mentioned in the original bug entry (empty canada folder, names change of Germany) are still a problem.
