From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.7+) Gecko/20020122 BuildID: 2002012203 I have my Mozilla disk cache set to 50 megs, yet my profile takes up nearly 200MB of space. This is mostly due to cached newsgroup articles. With no control over the cache size, this number will only get larger. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Read lots of newsgroup messages 2. 3. Actual Results: profile directory size keeps growing Expected Results: There should be some way to limit the cache. If bug 98534 were fixed, this would be less of an issue.
dup to bug 98534?
(In reply to comment #1) > dup to bug 98534? Not really. Effect is the same thought. Removing perf keyword - don't see why perf is involved here.
The offline cache for news articles is stored in the mbox file, selectable via Synchronization and Storage options. There are ways to limit the size of the database there, as you'll notice.
