Steps to reproduce:

Running the latest Daily update -- several problems.
a) Help => Release Notes *click*



Actual results:

Browser tries to retrieve <https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/nightly/releasenotes/?uri=/thunderbird/releasenotes/&locale=en-US&version=44.0a1&os=WINNT&buildid=20151008030223>, which results in a "404 Whoops!" error.


Expected results:

Even if formal "release notes" cannot be produced for every daily update, the changelogs could be automatically produced (IMNSHO)

Rob,

Could we instead have a URL in Thunderbird that redirects to an hg URL updated by the build process to show the checkins between the current build and the previous nightly build?

The URL would not necessarily exact because a user might be updating from a build that is >1 day old, but perhaps better than nothing. Firefox has nightly release notws iirc. But I don't see us doing that any time soon.

There is no "Help->Release Notes" menu item. I think this can be closed.
