In order to get more insights of the usage of the application from users, we would like to measure how many times the import features are being used (importing from sim, sd, gmail or hotmail)

Hi Francisco,

It looks good.  I did check that the gecko telemetry accepted the '.' in the name.  It works fine and calculates the histogram properly.

Fernando could you take a look to the implementation of custom metrics in contacts.

Here we are counting how many times the different importers are being used.
