User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:41.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/41.0 Iceweasel/41.0.1
Build ID: 20151005003816
Steps to reproduce:
Switch from one folder to another, where the new folder is set to use the threaded view.
Actual results:
A thread in the new folder got expanded. It's the thread containing the message that I watched last time I opened this folder.
Expected results:
It's fine for Thunderbird to select a certain thread, but I'd rather have it not *expand* the thread. It should remain collapsed. I have the "Conversations" add-on installed, and hence there's hardly ever a reason for me to have any thread expanded. Thunderbird keeps expanding threads on its own, and I have to always manually collapse them again.
Note that I have "mailnews.scroll_to_new_message" set to false, which however did not help.

Note that bug 1805377 and this one are completely different. This one here is about threads in the right-hand side of the Thunderbird window expanding when switching to another folder and a message in the thread is considered the "last selected message" for that folder. 1805377 is about folders expanding on the left-hand side of the window without any apparent interaction.
