note: this is not part of the daily smoketest that would be a blocker if failing. I haven't done the extended embedding tests in quite sometime. This may have been around for while. Is ftp handling supported in mfcembed and gtkembed? gtkembed has difficulty with ftp also....seee bug # 121476
The problem is that the directory viewer (the thing that renders application/http-index-format) is part of appcomps.dll and we don't ship that in the embedding build on that principle that it adds too much bloat. I recall a bug which discussed this issue in the past and may still be open so I'll try and find it. For now I will dup the GTK bug 121476 against this and rename it.
Summary: attempt to load ftp site gets download dialog → Embedding dist cannot handle support application/http-index-format

Yes, this is a dupe of a bug I have. I only have disk space for one tree, though. so I can't work on it ATM. It is next on my list, though. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 110760 ***
