Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:44.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/44.0 Build ID: 20151015030233 Steps to reproduce: Open Firefox Nightly (as of 2015-10-15) on Linux x64, open multiple tabs, try to rearrange them. Actual results: An animation popup occurs briefly for about 1 second which contains an outline of the tab contents, and then disappears and the tab does not move. You can right click on the tab and say "Move to new window" and that does work. Expected results: The tab should have been rearranged in order on the tab bar

Though firefox on my windows platform has nothing like this, do you have any add ons installed that can cause this ? can you try disabling your add ons Please ? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode still moving to another component.
QA Whiteboard: [testday-20151016]
Component: Untriaged → Tabbed Browser
I can confirm that moving tabs on Linux doesn't work. Independent of addons (on a fresh Linux system). It seems to be an e10s issue though, it works if e10s is disabled.
