From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC; en-US; rv:0.9.7+) Gecko/20020123 BuildID: 2002012308 When I turn the mousewheel, the page is not scrolled (or only one line). Instead, some text is selected. At www.mozilla.org for instance, the whole menu on the left is selected. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to www.mozilla.org or wherever. 2. Click in the text (that's another known bug). 3. Turn the mousewheel Actual Results: Some text is selected. Expected Results: The page should scroll. The 0.9.7 works fine. I haven't tested nightlies in between. I am using a Kensington mouse with the newest 5.70 driver. I guess this is a dup or a reopen, but I could not find a bug with these symptoms. It is not necessary to have "selects" or any forms on the page to see this problem, as some other reported bugs.

See also bug 116569 which has a different problem on OSX same mouse though.
Sometimes I can scroll one step, then it stops and starts selecting if I go on. In _some_ cases I can scroll several steps if I do it really slowly. Once I was loading a very slow page in one tab and I could then scroll in another tab until the first tab finished loading. Seemed like if Mozilla is busy with something the scrolling would work. This is a regression and should be marked so. Am I the only one to have this problem ? Well, there are maybe not so many multi-button mac-users :) The problem remains the same in 0.9.8 and in build 2002020512.
