As you know, French localizers are huge fans of non-breaking spaces :)

I've been delighted to see that the non-breaking spaces we type directly with the keyboard in Pontoon are actually saved as non-breaking spaces, and not replaced with regular spaces like Verbatim was doing.

It would really help us doing QA if the non-breaking spaces could be highlighted in the translations the same way the ellipsis are, for instance. This way we could quickly spot any missing non-breaking space.

We're also using thin nbsp, but it's only used in Firefox OS atm. So supporting only nbsp would already be a big plus.
Théo,

We use special markup for presenting placeables, but we only do that in source strings for now. I guess you meant we highlight ellipsis in source strings, right?

In any case, I agree we should expend this functionality to translations, too.
