User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.11; rv:42.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/42.0 Build ID: 20151015151621 Steps to reproduce: Simply forward some mails with HTML inline pictures. Actual results: Picture displayed in the sent mail is not the one in the original mail. Here is a sample of the <img> tag found in the source of the forwarded mail : <img id=3D"Image_x0020_1" src=3D"cid:part7.04060200.03000= 507@xxxxxxxxxx.com"alt=3D"Description=C2=A0: XXXXX= XXX" height=3D"90" width=3D"445" border=3D"0"> Expected results: Inline picture should not change.

Yes, we've seen this before, e.g. bug 766495. According to bug 1201782, this can still occur. Bad. Not easy to fix.

I'll add a "me too" to this -- I get messages in reply to something I sent (using Mac Mail) from a Thunderbird (User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:38.0) Gecko/20100101 Thunderbird/38.5.0) user where some apparently random image from their system is attached in place of the original inline image I had sent him.
This is a really serious information disclosure issue!
Is it fixed in a more recent version of TB?
