VPN access to Berlin office is painfully slow because it routes Europeans via San Jose.

Hi, it's jhford@mozilla.com here. The phone with Bugzilla 2FA on it is not with me, so I registered a second Bugzilla account.
When I access my machine in the Berlin office from my Apartment 4KM away, all of my requests are routed through the VPN server in San Jose. The result is that MTR shows about 180ms of latency to get to the Bay Area then another 160ms of latency to hop back over to Berlin.
Is there any way that we could have a European VPN server? >300ms lag is quite unfortunate.
Please interact with jhford@mozilla.com for this bug, since I will not be checking anything from this bugzilla account once I can log into my @mozilla.com account again.
There's not much we can do to alter the Mozilla VPN for you, but you might file a ServiceNow ticket about getting Berlin Office VPN access since that would probably work better for you here.

Hi Richard,
There's nothing in Service Now about VPN at all and searching the catalogue for 'vpn' only yields a request for Viscosity and Yubikey.
Please let me know how I should file the Service Now ticket for this. Is it just a matter of using a different VPN hostname or do I need a bit set in my LDAP profile?
Flags: needinfo?(rsoderberg)
I'm not sure how to proceed with the ServiceNow side, but I'll move this over to their Bugzilla queue. Please consider reaching out to #servicedesk with a link to this bug as well, so they can help you get this resolved.
(It's a completely different VPN profile - your existing Mozilla VPN profile won't work at all with it - and I don't know if an LDAP bit is required or not.)

Hi, I can only second this request. The Berlin office is growing rapidly and there are many people with desktop machines here who would like to be able access them remotely.
