121700 - sent folder forgets it's a sent folder

For various reasons, my sent folder is called "sent" rather than, as Mozilla
apparently expects, "Sent".  As a result it is not marked as a sent folder, and
Mozilla displays "Sender" instead of "Recipient", etc.

It would be vastly preferable if these various special folder attributes could
be set manually on a per-folder basis.

You can change the Sent copy setting in Account Settings|Copies and Folders.
Just use the "Other" Option  under the "place a copy in" area and select a
folder from the dropdown. That should do it.

Marking this worksforme using jan24 commercial trunk. linux rh6.2.

This incorrectly assumes that I want to use IMAP to copy sent messages to that
folder.  This is not the case; I Bcc the folder, because it happens far too
often otherwise that the message gets sent but the IMAP copy fails.  Bcc
resolves this problem.

Furthermore, this is not an acceptable solution if one filters the sent traffic:
if so, there are more than one "sent" folder, for which it is currently not
possible to get the recipients listed.

I'm not sure I understand you... So you want the inbox where you bcc outgoing
messages to show recipient instead of Sender? Any you want to be able to have
more than one designated Sent folder for a given account?

This actually might be a dup bug.

similar: bug 93863, which is fixed on the trunk.
Perhaps this bug should be tested again with a current trunk build.
