Tried with new profiles. Same result. I can create a new profile, create a new account, this is shown then, but as soon as i restart thunderbird all panes are empty again!

Yes, 2015-10-07 is currently the last working nightly. It was bug 1209777, but after that a bunch of infra issues. Looks like *maybe* the next nightly will come through though!

Updating to the 2015-10-30 45.0a1 has restored panes seeming normal functionality.
