Hi,

I made some regression tests and I noticed that this issue could be reproduced since this feature was implemented, version 36 Firefox.
Neither wow.com or aol.com have opensearch specified on their website, so there is no engine for us to install.

You can see this by viewing the source of the page and looking for a line similar to this:

<link rel="search" type="application/opensearchdescription+xml" href="https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/search/xml" title="Mozilla Developer Network">

I checked with Firefox 31, and it did not offer search engines on these pages either.

So this is not a regression, it's simply a problem with their websites.
