Steps to reproduce:
go to about:config
change browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab;true
to
browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab;false
Actual results:
works fine until FF reboots
Expected results:
upon next FF session closing last tab should not close FF

Seems it's something within my profile folder that keeps resetting the prefs jscript?

Hi, please see the this support manual about the issue and how to diagnose it. If you still have issues after that, please check if it also happens in the safe mode of Firefox https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode and after refreshing Firefox https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings

deleted my profile and started clean,all is well now.
Seems it was a problem my end.
