The site icon when a favicon is only available should be updated according to the spec. https://mozilla.box.com/s/a25ot7ruu5u0mvxjirhrtu8d3rt5r107 pg 32 of spec # 2 in the item list This design should be carried accross the diffrent areas of the OS such as the homescreen (when a site is pinned), dialog, chrome, etc.
