What device are you running on? That will affect what graphics pipeline are being used and will help narrow down causes.

If you update to FF42, can you still replicate?

Was able to replicate on FF41 on HTC.

Unable to replicate in Aurora.

Following the reproduction steps stated in the bug description, i could not reproduce the crash on both Nexus 4 phone with 5.1 Android and Sony Xperia Z2 tablet with 5.0.2 Android by using the latest Nightly build available : 45.0a1.
This issue was tested also on the Nexus 4 device using the present release 42.0 and the crash could not be reproduced

Anselmo,
Could you please try to reproduce this issue on your device by using the latest Nightly build (as mentioned above) and if reproducible could you please paste the crash signature found in about:crashes ?
Thanks

Hello, no entries in about:crashes in FF 42 because it is the OS that is suddenly crashing, will it be somewhat different with the NB?
Please note that this is the 6.0 Lollipop Android version on a 2013 Nexus 5 (see above).

Tracking for 42, but it depends on the patch

It is 6.0 *Marshmallow* Android version.
I have a Nexus 5 with Android 6.0 as well. The OS crash and reboot occurs for me in both 42.0 and Nightly from 11/11/15. Also occurs on videos from Vimeo.
Info: this still happens on last Android build MRA58N for Nexus 5 issued by Google on these days.
If this is only happening on 6.0, then it's the same as bug 1221228 (which is actually a problem with 6.0 and not the 6P)

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1221228 should be duplicated of this one, not the other way, because this was notified earlier, or not?
No. The other bug has the investigation, the patch and the commit in the source control points to it. If both bugs were open and had roughly equal information then duping to your bug would make sense. However when your bug was filed it was not clear if the issue on the Nexus 5 was the same as the Nexus 6p issue.
Tested FF 42.0.1, on the video reported above in this bug, now Android doesn't crash anymore, but the video component play is still stuttering. The audio instead is fine and plays without problems. Tested on a wifi connection with enough/proper bandwidth.

I saw that on the Yahoo video too. I think they're doing something silly. I didn't have any problem elsewhere.
Didn't get the time to check since for me is sufficient that the phone does not get restarted while watching a short video... but just wondering, could be related to the format of the video? I mean WebM/H.264? Nexus 5 cpu is reported to have VP8/VP9 support, but nonetheless this could perhaps affect the video play in some way. Does Chrome for Android play it smooth?

Chrome had the same problem for me, yeah.
Chrome 44 plays Ars video smooth in my phone, same with Chrome 46.
