12205 - [PP] Win32, Mac - Location control has bad insertion caret

Platform: Mac OS 8.6 (Windows munged differently, Linux OK)

To reproduce:
- Launch apprunner
- Pass the cursor over the Location: control
- Click into the Location control
- Start typing into the Location control

Results:
1. When you pass the cursor over the Location: control, it is filled in part
with cruft.
2. When you click into the Location control, the insertion caret appears at the
far bottom left position in the window, instead of at the usual position
(centered between the top and bottom of the control towards the left hand side
of the control).
3. When you start typing, letters you type appear at a different location than
where the insertion cursor was - towards the top of the control.

Changing bug report so that it only has to do with the tiny insertion caret
problem. Also happens on Win32.

simon, sounds like at least part of this is yours.  Pass it back to me if this
isn't the case.
cpratt, phillip, sujay:  is this really a mac-only bug, or is it XP?

In short, it's Win32 and Mac OS only (as noted in the Summary). It looks OK to
me when using the same build on Linux.

The "tiny caret" is gone. There are other problems left, but that one is gone.
