Mozilla 0.9.9 must rule.

Nominating bug 40867, bug 61348, bug 77337. (No web browser will be ruling without a working view-source option. And MathML should come in a milestone before the 1.0 release, for obvious reasons.)

I second Nick's 40867/77337 nomination. View-source 0.9.9 must rule.

I nominate bug 88870 (Java support needed for Mac OS X build) for 0.9.9. Now that OS X is the default OS on all new Macs it is even more important that we make Java support in Mozilla rule on that OS too.

May I nominate bug 105619? It was on the 0.9.6 list and regressed in 0.9.8. It is both top100 and topcrash.
bug 112241 has been reopened and will be causing many 0.9.8 crashes. I would like to nominate it as a dependancy. Test case and details for bug 112241 at http://wickline.org/mozilla/2002020600/ -matt

No-brainer: bug 122227 (should have been fixed for 0.9.8) Nominations: bug 114606, bug 105537, bug 98572, bug 91662, bug 76495, bug 72493, bug 67161, bug 64908, bug 61497, bug 59148, bug 58744, bug 56301, bug 46227, bug 36776, bug 35046, bug 33732, bug 32157, bug 17199, bug 17048, bug 16489 (has patch!), bug 10097, bug 7840
nominating bug 124240 because the %s token used in custom keywords is not future-proofed and is going to make it very difficult to add additional features to custom keyword queries in the future. %s; (note semicolon) *is* future-proofed and will allow things like %s; %s1; %s2; etc. It will be painful to switch, but it will only get more painful as more users start using Mozilla (and derivatives). Better in the 0.9.9 release notes than in the 2.1 release notes. This user interface change should be made before 1.0, so that folks custom keyword queries will break sooner rather than later (and less pain will be felt overall). -matt

Perhaps the open bugs still blocking the resolved bug 115520 should block this bug now as well.

nominating bug 122081, which has a patch with r= and sr=.

I nominate bug 116074. This is the "constantly blinking titlebar" bug under Windows. It has 20 duplicates over the last week.

Nominate bug 126594. Recent regression on Win98 where chrome is drawn incorrectly. No scrollbar arrows for example.
Comment 16•23 years ago

i'd like to nominate bug 121230 "PNG (containing alpha channel / transparency) causes display errors on scroll or other interaction" since it's a regression, not beeing seen in 0.9.8 and is affecting all those w3.org valid html/css banners and every other image with 8bit alpha channels.

Can I still nominate? Want to add bug 118140 and bug 126666 to nominations... (both are important to L10n and have patches attached)

I really want to vote for bug 127442, I don't know for how many people this bug occurs, but I could not imagine that Mozilla 0.9.9 the version prior to the Ultimate Landing 1.0 should contain this and the following: bug 119450 Not possible to Install Language Packs using "Download More" in Prefs bug 126675 One of the many Print Preview Crashers bug 122489 Despite of that it is marked MacOS X only, it doesn't work for me as well, and not be able to delete entries in the AdressBook should not be case of 0.99 Additional to this, I think most important is, to get the crasher's out of Mozilla for 0.99 nothing disappoints me more when a program crashes. My Humbe Opinion Carsten
No longer depends on: 105619

bug 124741 -- Save failure for some content types (simple patch, needs sr and a) bug 127375 -- Not taking down the (dysfunctional) progress dialog when saving as text
Depends on: 128682

Nominating (maybe too late) these three bugs with patches: Bug 82151 and bug 127554 - these two patches will hopefully fix the remaining issues with textarea editing. And bug 82056 which has patch with r/sr and would be nice and small mailnews ui cleanup.

I'd like to nominate bug 128531 and 127129, where chinese GB characters fail to display in some cases.

I would like to nominate mail-sorting bugs http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50938 and http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121588. These bugs cannot be very difficult to fix, but they make the mail client extremely annoying to try to use. Alot of people (like myself) will not switch to using the Mozilla mail client as long as this bug persists. -Chance

For those who can nominate bugs: consider bug 125698 This is a regression from 0.9.8, an irritation for those who use form prefill or double-click to fill form fields (adding email to bugzilla reports, for instance)

Nominating bug 122765 "Mozilla loses focus and Z order due to Alert /other dialogs". Very visible, very annoying.

I would like to nominate bug 125958. Installer creates invalid profile direstories on Windows.

#79812 'Some GB2312 characters are dispaly as "?" in this page' fixed, but still a bug on solaris8 (sparc) tested with 0.9.6, 7, 8 further test url: http://cn.yahoo.com/ because of no (real) alternatives under solaris i think resolving this is important. thanks.

I suggest adding bug 123812. This one gives the impression of a non working mail/news.

it's probably way too late, but i'd still like to mention that i consider fixing bug 116217 urgent, for it's a very disturbing incident for all of us who use mozilla for onlineshopping

I'd like to third the nomination of the view-source bugs, bug 40867, bug 61348, and bug 77337. It's embarrassing to have to fire up NS4 to debug CGI scripts.
View-source bugs aren't going to make the (imminent) 0.9.9 release. We're only taking small, well-considered fixes for topcrash and other such bugs at this point, and perhaps not even those any more. Do work hard on the view-source bugs that bother you, though, so that we can get solid fixes for them into 1.0. (I discourage further discussion of the view-source issues here; we understand well that they're very annoying, and we're eager to have fixes. Nothing to do for 0.9.9, though, and that's what this bug is about.)

I'd like to nominate again for bug 127129 (and bug 128531, which is basically the same thing). This bug is fixed in the trunk but still not in 0.9.9 (as of build 2002031008). It causes some characters to disappear and is quite "visible" so I think it should make the 0.9.9 release.

Hi. Because of the nature of this project I don't really know where to give 'user type feedback' to the right people ... and the box is labeled 'Additional Comments', so I think I'm allowed to comment. Just a concern... ?You? miss your target dates by quite a bit and it happens quite often it seems? Why is this? If you have a target date - you should leave out what's not finished and release then (or close to then), is this possible or is the tree not in a state where it can be released? Is it not possible to revert to a version that can be released close to the date? OR You should rather have a feature target list instead of a date. Link to Bugzilla or something. Its looks a bit bad when you are this late.. Or am I missing something? Then its understandable and visible when there is still 3 things on the list ..for example. .. just intended as positive feedback/suggestion. Cheers

All dependencies resolved.. we ready to rock with 0.9.9? Is next Netscape branch going to be based on this or wait until 1.0 or later?

Steve Wardell: I believe they wait at least till 1.0 and then released in next 1-2 months. Look at the nsbeta1 bugs this time... PS Sorry for the spam, but I'm waiting for some next Netscape dates since I promote it. I believe Mozilla is only a base for other enduser browsers and does not belongs to enduser HDD's.
