Very often my foxfooding phone is struggling to connect to the cell network while other phones I have owned never took that long to connect to networks. Sometimes I am already connected, then I loose the connection and it takes maybe 30sec up to minutes to reconnect. This also applies to wifi networks, but cell networks are the really annoying part because I miss calls.

I can reproduce the part where connection is slow to establish after booting up, which has been bugged in bug 1170371 (Unless the reporter is not using an AT&T SIM, because bug 1170371 is about AT&T). I can NOT reproduce the part where network connection drops after it has been established. Tested on: Device: Aries 2.6 Master BuildID: 20151105134116 Gaia: c3be747b993f0c70e7b93a709ef691383c88fc01 Gecko: 61dcc13d0848230382d5c85cdcf6721a05ee37c6 Gonk: a19052e4389c3ae2d8fc3e7a74a475401baacc56 Version: 45.0a1 (2.6) Firmware Version: D5803_23.1.A.1.28_NCB.ftf User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Mobile; rv:45.0) Gecko/45.0 Firefox/45.0 Leaving qawanted for others to attempt.

Please help make sure the log contains "timestamp" information, using the command to capture logs - |adb logcat -b radio -b main -v time| thanks.

I too am able to reproduce the issue with having the device becoming very slow to connect. (About 30 - 50 seconds to connect to the AT&T network with the Aries device.) All the same regarding comment 4, the network is NOT dropping for me afterwards at any point as well. Environmental Variables: Device: Aries 2.6 Kk BuildID: 20151111124419 Gaia: 22f8023b112dfae83531b0a075ab9eb9a5444dfa Gecko: 84a7cf29f4f14c9b359db2f7f19c0abd6a8e178e Gonk: a19052e4389c3ae2d8fc3e7a74a475401baacc56 Version: 45.0a1 (2.6) Firmware Version: D5803_23.1.A.1.28_NCB.ftf User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Mobile; rv:45.0) Gecko/45.0 Firefox/45.0 Nicolas, could you please let us what Network type you were trying to connect to?

As a follow up to my comment 7, I am not seeing this issue occur on Flame 2.6 Result: Flame device will connect to AT&T network successfully within about 5-8seconds. Environmental Variables: Device: Flame 2.6 Kk Fullflash (512mb) BuildID: 20151111030246 Gaia: c0482775b1526add626b170dd53a72d10bcaf07c Gecko: cc473fe5dc512c450634506f68cbacfb40a06a23 Gonk: 205ac4204bbbb2098a8046444acba551ba5dc75a Version: 45.0a1 (2.6) Firmware Version: v18D User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Mobile; rv:45.0) Gecko/45.0 Firefox/45.0

I can't reproduce the network delay except after a bootup though it's only noticable in comparison to another device. Environmental Variables: (not affected) Device: Aries 2.5 BuildID: 20151023104059 Gaia: 410e91ddabc7ba82a9b43b3711a3fdf2cb8de309 Gecko: 0625c68c0abcfe4d10880d15d8fe7d06df3369c9 Gonk: 2916e2368074b5383c80bf5a0fba3fc83ba310bd Version: 44.0a1 (2.5) Firmware Version: D5803_23.1.A.1.28_NCB.ftf

We have been unable to reproduce this issue. Setting the [non-reproducible] qa whiteboard tag so that contributors can attempt to reproduce. Nicolas if you can provide more information that would be useful

According to QA results that this is not reproducible (or at least the reproduction rate is extremely low), de-nominating this bug for now.
