They're trying to
wget -O mar.exe --no-check-certificate http://upload.ffxbld.productdelivery.prod.mozaws.net/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla-aurora/mar-tools/win64/mar.exe
and the domain should be archive.mozilla.org. No doubt they'll also have problems with mbsdiff and the en-US binary too.

We can fix that up, or maybe switch to mozharness since that's what the nightlies use, but both will take some development time.

Pike, do you know if these builds are still valuable to localisers ? These are the ones which are fired when localisers land code in their repo, resulting in a repack the latest en-US nightly with the tip of l10n code. AFAIK no reports of them being broken since Oct 20th (the S3 migration).

TBH, I doubt they're serving a purpose right now.

With go-faster, though, we might need builds on a fast cadence for testing, etc. I'm not sure if things like "repack the last nightly" will make sense in the context, though. Just thinking out loud, we could even publish a variant on an update channel.

I guess there are two options:

Stand up quicker-than-nightly builds from scratch once we need them, exactly as we find them to be needed then.

 - or -

Fix the current builds, and then adapt them if needed once we know precisely what that is.

Or, third variant, switch them off now, but don't remove the unused code in case it's useful later.

I don't have a personal opinion on either of those.

Another common error found in the logs when these jobs fail is the one below:
"configure: error: Invalid value --with-l10n-base, ../../l10n doesn't exist" --> this kind of issues has been encountered in the past (bug 851720)

:Pike: any updates on what further actions are intended to be taken regarding these builders?

Thanks.

I have said all that I know for the next while.

That's a distinct issue from this one. Let's not co-mingle.

Removes 23 jobs in total - 5 platforms on ash, m-c, and m-r; plus 4 platforms on c-c and c-a.
