Hi, I tested this on a MAC OS X Version 10.9 and Version 10.10 with Firefox Nightly 45.0a1 (2015-11-05) Steps to reproduce: 1 Go to: https://pdehaan.github.io/push-notification-test/ 2 Select Pop Notification Button 3 Select Always Receive Notifications from the notifications doorhanger. Expected results: Notification Appears and auto-dismisses after 12 sec. Actual results: Notification Appears and auto-dismisses after 6 sec.
Does this affect Aurora as well?

Mac 10.11 this behavior is observed in Firefox 45.0a1 as well as Aurora 44.0a2

[Tracking Requested - why for this release]:Current testing in Aurora 44.0a2 the notification is displayed for approximately 6 seconds. The default time is 12 seconds. MAC OS X is currently displaying the notification for 1/2 the set/recommended default display time.
Matt probably knows what's up here or knows who to ask if he doesn't :)

I think ~6 seconds is the default for banners on OS X. Users can change it globally via `defaults write com.apple.notificationcenterui bannerTime 12`, but I don't think there's even UI for that. It's possible to make notifications persist by changing the alert style to banners in System Prefs > Notifications, but that's also up to the user.

Acknowledge: Thank you for clarification/explaining. We have tested and the time is indeed controlled by MAC Notification settings. Unless there are any other concerns we can close this as Resolved-Invalid.
Sounds good. Thanks, Michelle!
