Details
To reproduce: Open mailnews windows Select a folder with at least two messages with different dates Order the messages by date (or any other criteria) Select the first message hdr => The message body appears in the lower pane Revert the ordering by clicking the Date column title => the highlighted row do not change and then the hilighted message is not the one displayed in the message body pane.

This behavior is not happening every time. It seems to appears only after a certain amount of manipulation and when the row is hilighted with the intermediate color (the one telling the list have no focus). I'll try to isolate a manipulation allowing the user to reproduce it.

this works for me in 2002080508 on Linux. Reporter (Remi Cohen-Scali): Can you reproduce this with a recent Mozilla version (like 1.1beta)? If not, please mark this bug as "worksforme".

Ok this bug seems to have vanished since 0.9.7+. Note: I test it with a build 20020804 from CVS head with gtk & gtk2 toolkits. I also test it successfully on mozilla 1.0 (home) builded for Solaris8 (BuildID: 20020628).
