On today's fxteam, opening my android restricted profile on my tablet and then opening fennec results in the regular firefox and not the restricted fennec (FFB). Tablet is a nexus 9. This is making developing new features for FFB problematic. Sebastian, is this a known thing?

Apart from that all restrictions seem to be enforced here. 1) Is it only the theme for you too? 2) If not then the UserManager does not return application restrictions. From the admin profile: Do you see the switches in the profile configuration and does changing them have any effect in the restricted profile? 3) Does this happen with the release version too?
(1) No, it's got addons, the wrong topsites and bookmarks, seems to be the whole shebang. (2) I do see switches in the android profile manager and the profile is otherwise restricted. I will toggle some of the settings and see if that causes fennec to register that it's in restricted profile. (3) I'll try it out and get back to this bug.
(2) It does seem if I toggle a setting or two in the admin control panel for fennec, I get proper FFB (complete with green theme) Do you think we're getting a stale permissions bundle? That's what this behavior feels like to me. (3) Release Firefox behaves as expected. Beta and Aurora also behave as expected, including the theme.

I remember testing that a completely new installation of the app always has a bundle of restrictions - because I was afraid that they do not show up if you do not toggle anything.
The theme is back here. This just happened because Gecko did not start up in my local build (unrelated). I assume we can close this? This here should not happen in the wild.
Yeah, it sounds like this was just a local dev build issue... but let's definitely reopen if we see this again.
