We don't surface about:permissions anywhere in the Firefox UI, because it's unfinished and we never made the call to actually ship this to end users. We're planning on removing it from Firefox in bug 933917.

Hi I have marked it as obsolete what means it won't show on any searches on the sumo website

Please undo this. The firefox-dev thread isn't relevant here. As I said, about:permissions has never been a finished and supported feature in the first place, and therefore it shouldn't be on SUMO.

Side note: there are a couple of other articles for Hello that point to about:permissions, probably worth fixing it if we don't want to promote about:permissions

Looking at the article proposal thread at <https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/forums/knowledge-base-articles/707107>, the reason why it was approved was because of the intent to link to about:permissions in the UI in Firefox 8. Obviously, that didn't happen, so it makes sense to obsolete this article.

I haven't worked on the KB in a long time, but I assume the links to this article listed at <https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/permissions-manager-give-ability-store-passwords-set-cookies-more/links> need to be removed before marking the article obsolete.
