STR: • open the Settings app ⇒ Date & Time • click on the date Expected: the date selector displays the same value as the one in the panel. Actual result: the date selectors display a different value. Right now, the Date & Time panel gives this date: November 13, 2016 And when clicking on the value, the selector displays: October 12, 2015. This is a recent regression. It also affects FTU and Calendar.

Note that the month list now starts with December and ends with November. The time selector works (i.e. the same value in the Date & Time panel is the same as the one in the time selector), but the value displayed in the status bar has a one-hour difference with the one in the panel.

Fallout from the l20n change and other recent work in & around shared/js/date_time_helper.js?

No, that's most probably bug 1208808.
Depends on: 1208808

The one-hour time difference does look like a symptom of bug 1208808, thanks for the pointer. I probably should have opened another bug for this symptom, my bad. But what about the main symptom, i.e. the one year + one month * one day offset? And the fact that the month list starts with December and ends with November? This isn’t related to any timezone thing, right?

No, this is not. Thanks! I'll look into this unless someone takes it first.
[Blocking Requested - why for this release]: besides the UX issue, this is likely to prevent many core features to work, e.g. https, sms…

Kaze, I'm trying to reproduce it on today's nightly and I cannot. My attempted STR: 1) Open Settings 2) Go to Date & Time 3) Set Automatically to off 4) Open Date selector 5) Open Time selector both have proper date/time matching the one displayed when the selector is closed, months start from January and end on December. Can you help me with STR?

Kaze, I tried to reproduce it again and was unable to. I'll close this bug, but if you see it again, please, reopen!
