Following the terror attacks in Paris last night, many people around the world are trying to gather news from parisian mozillians. HR are checking on the employees (which is good) but we also would like to check on all mozillians.
The best thing would be a safety check like Facebook, triggered whenever a tragedy is possibly impacting mozillians (like attacks, earthquake in Nepal...). Every signed in mozillian could mark themselves safe (given that mozillians travel a lot, we could all be impacted by an event happening far away from home).
A safety check-in page per event (we can not exclude possibility of 2 different things at the same time) should be accessible to all mozillians, to check on friends. And each page should be archived when it's over.
It might be a lot of work to implement, but it would be so great given what we are seeing at the moment: messages from everywhere "are parisian mozillians safe?" "Most of them are" "Yes but who? And the other? What about X?"
Thanks a lot to anyone who could implement that
