1225050 - instructions how to activate safe mode wrong

B2G 2.6 20151115150212 on Flame (v18D_nightly_v4 base image)

I fail to restart into safe mode with add-ons disabled.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open the Marketplace and install an addon.
2. Press and hold power button until it restarts and vibrates for a second time (second restart?).
3. Open Settings > Add-ons.
Actual result:
Add-on is still enabled.
Expected result:
Safe mode screen and add-on disabled.

Based on your STR, you didn't start in safe mode. To do so, restart the device normally, and as soon as it displays the boot logo animation, keep the power button pressed. You will then have a screen explaining the safe mode options.

Thank you for the information. Then this string describes a wrong behavior:

apps ⊃ system ⊃ system.properties
addon-disable-instructions
	
"If this add-on causes a problem, press and hold the power button during start up until the device vibrates for a second time to disable all add-ons."

But it requires to press the power button and release it (neither hold it from the start nor wait for a second vibration). Would the follow string be okay?

"If this add-on causes a problem, press the power button during start up to disable all add-ons."

Further information:
Flames which updated OTA don't see the boot animation but a black screen (don't find the bug at the moment).

Yes, that's correct. I think this has been reported already but I can't find the bug anymore.
