Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:44.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/44.0
Build ID: 20151113004115
Steps to reproduce:
Hi all.
Now most of mobile operating systems are using only Georgian calendar in the core, and if any one wants to make calendar app can use a function like Date() and give output of it.
For example Microsoft Visual studio have a Function which names PersianDate(), we can use it for getting Iranian date in output.
Also now, Microsoft Windows 10 shows Persian Date in Files and Folders Properties and Date section of task bar; if you choose Persian language in it's Regional Settings.
Actual results:
Now in all of mobile Operating system, if you want to make an app with another calendar, you should use some of converting calculations for convert system's Georgianna date to your calendar. But system can have an API in it's core such as PersianDate() or HijriDate() which can give output for Persian Date standard.
Expected results:
We want if person chooses Persian or Hijri date in Firefox OS settings, Firefox OS shows Persian date or Hijri date on Lock screen, in calendar App and other places.
At least haveing an API for Hijri date and Persian Date like PersianDate() in Visual Studio. Can make Firefox OS more usable for locale end users. Because every person wants to see official date which is usable and official in his country, not Georgian date.
