i'm french , i use mozilla for the mail and as navigator 
i want to copy a excel  case in my mail , i can't i just have the old paste . 
I can't write the value of excel case in a new mail 

but if i use notepad for exemple , i can paste my value in notepad and after
copy the notepad value in my new mail

Steps to Reproduce:
1.paste on notepad
2.copy the notepad value in a new mail
3.

Actual Results:  it's ok 

Expected Results:  when you paste in a new mail , you see the old copy

it's excel 2000

it's the same , i have the 2002020406 version of mozilla ,
i always can't paste myexcel's selection

and i have the same problem , i can't copy and paste a excel's cell

Confirming on W2K 2002032203, in HTML compose mode but not plain text mode.
Presumably in HTML mode the data should be pasted in a table?

adding this to the editor embedding meta bug. various applications that use
Gecko embedded editor for composition (for mail composition as an example) lose
this ability which they had in IE. The same problem likely exists for drag/drop.

pinkerton and I had a brief discussion about this in the drag/drop context, and
this appears to be a matter of handling whatever format (CF_HTML maybe?) excel
is representing.

I wonder if excel *and* word (both microsoft products) on win32 use the same format?

well, if it's just us not handling CF_HTML, it's a dupe of another bug i have.
however, i don't see any code that advertises that we understand CF_HTML to
anyone in mozilla, so if it doesn't paste in an html compose, it's editor code
not doing the right thing.

i'd say this bug should go to someone on editor.
