Details

I heard recently that jj updated the mac build so that it pulled from a static
date, rather than pulling directly off the tip, and thus catching people
midcheckin

Windows and Unix builds should do this too.... everyone is tired of seeing "this
caught me mid-checkin"

This is making the tree red WAY too much..
Note that I turned this feature OFF for the Mac Depend Tinderbox (MacCVS was
getting confused and performing a clean pull, so no point)

Fyi, there is a thread on n.p.m.mac about the pros & cons of pulling by date.

Unix and windows do pull from date tags now. Except for the vc5.0 tinderbox,
which i am about to rectify.
Marking closed, unless we want to keep it open for mac?
Mac Depend will continue to pull from the tip until we get MacCVS fixed. Ram has
been notified about the issue and said it would be easy to fix it.
This shouldn't prevent from marking this one closed.
