Some of our most important LDAP groups are, sadly, POSIX groups -- scm_level_{1,2,3}. So we need to support reflecting membership in those groups via the login service.
I have recently acquired creds/certs for accessing ldap. IMO we cannot expect this info to show up via. SSO. So should just inspect LDAP directly.
