User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:45.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/45.0 Build ID: 20151119065326 Steps to reproduce: I have tried to download file with Firefox Nightly 45.0a1 (2015-11-19) but I got error "You don't have permissions to save in this location". It's my local disk and I'm sure that I have required permissions. Also Firefox 40.0.3 (run with different profile) and Google Chrome allows me to save this file in this location. Unfortunately I can't provide site name where I experienced this because of security polices. OS: Windows 7x64 Enterprise Actual results: I got error "You don't have permissions to save in this location" Expected results: file is downloaded

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:45.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/45.0 Build ID: 20151123030237 I could not reproduce the issue as described using the latest Nightly build - downloaded using an admin account as well as a standard account (with and without permissions). Reporter, are you still getting the dialog when using the latest Nightly with a brand new profile, or with the same profile you ran Firefox 40.0.3 from?

I have tried to create new profile, used my Firefox x32 profile and reinstalled Nightly - nothing changed. Not sure how else I can help You with that. I have thought that it's issue with website or my PC settings, but 32 bit version works fine.

When the save dialog pops up, can you try to browse and try to save in another location than the file system drive (other than C:)? Most likely you have some restrictions set by Windows in the default location.

It could be an operating system issue too. I was searching for possible causes of the mentioned issue on google and found this link https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/0a8c0138-8e92-4cb1-8830-ff9464336d62/you-dont-have-permission-to-save-in-this-location?forum=w7itprogeneral. There could be other solutions too. But, just check. [testday-20160205]

It seem to me that it's an operating system issue. Let's close this bug.
