Pre-requisites
In order to have several contacts run: make reference-workload-medium
But I also saw that when importing a large number of gmail contacts (>500)

Not sure I have clear steps to repro this bug, just was activating-deactivating the Order by last name toggle.
Then I realized the contact list was not loaded correctly as you can see in the screenshot attached.

Adding qawanted, please could you help to try to find a way to reproduce?

I have been unable to repro this issue with the builds listed below. Currently the reference-workload script is broken so this could be why. Still, I did not see the empty space in my contacts after importing my contacts from the sd card and sorting by last name. Adding steps wanted in the mean to see if others are able to find a way to reproduce this issue alternatively.

I successfully was able to apply the make-reference workload script. After opening the contacts app and very quickly scrolling through them I am able to see some blank sections of contacts. It will then quickly populate with contacts within a second. I am not sure if this is the same issue however. Isabel, did the blank lines in contacts remain blank, or just temporarily?

DOES repro on Aries 2.6, Flame 2.6, Flame 2.5 and Flame 2.2.
Result: Empty lines appear when scrolling through IMMEDIATELY after opening contacts after importing 500 contacts with makereference-workload medium.

When I see this issue the empty lines are not completed till I close and open the app. The contact list is corrupted somehow and it does not recover by itself.

I also saw this when importing >2000 contacts from gmail, so do not think is only because the workload script is broken.

Will try to reproduce and get steps.
