First noticed by :lizzard due to delays publishing Firefox 43.0b6. Steps to replicate: ssh bedrockadm source /data/bedrock/www/www.mozilla.org-django/venv/bin/activate cd /data/bedrock/src/www.mozilla.org-django/bedrock ./manage.py update_product_details" Results in traceback, last line is: OperationalError: (2013, "Lost connection to MySQL server at 'reading initial communication packet', system error: 0") This happens for any command that attempts to connect to the prod db.
My apologies: switching over the bedrockadm host to use the SCL3 DB VIPs got missed in this rush. The command given above appears to be working now. Please have the #moc poke me if it looks like we're still having issues. $ ./manage.py update_product_details Updating firefox_primary_builds.json from server Updating firefox_history_major_releases.json from server Updating mobile_history_development_releases.json from server Updating firefox_history_stability_releases.json from server Updating thunderbird_history_major_releases.json from server Updating mobile_history_stability_releases.json from server Updating thunderbird_primary_builds.json from server Updating thunderbird_beta_builds.json from server Updating thunderbird_history_development_releases.json from server Updating firefox_history_development_releases.json from server Updating mobile_details.json from server Updating languages.json from server Updating thunderbird_versions.json from server Updating firefox_versions.json from server Updating mobile_history_major_releases.json from server Updating firefox_beta_builds.json from server Updating thunderbird_history_stability_releases.json from server Regions were up to date.
Thanks :cyliang, I verified this issue is resolved. Unfortunately I found a separate issue while verifying see bug 1227868.
