The keyboard accelerator for Close View does not work (Ctrl-X)
This is because that is already mapped to Edit->Cut *and* also the context menu
for Leave Channel

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Hit Ctrl-X
2.
3.

Actual Results: View not closed

Expected Results: The 3 different commands which Ctrl-X is currently mapped to
should each have a unique keyboard accelerator.

CTRL-X works neither on Windows nor Linux.

Summary: Change keyboard accelerator for Close View (already used) → Change keyboard accelerator for Close View (ctrl-x) (already used)
I just hit Cmd-X and, to my surprise, closing the view actually worked this
time. However, what I meant to do was cut text. Please fix. ;-)
Some times it works, most not (I'm speaking about close view).
I've changed close view to ctl+z, and will include the change in the patch for
bug 23265. If someone has a better suggestion for key combination, please speak up.

That's the shortcut for Undo. Nearly as bad.

What about using Accel-W, to be consistent with Tabbed Browser? Normally
Accel-W closes the window, but if more than one tab is open, it just closes the
current tab. Chatzilla could behave the same way. Also see bug 122902.

I really like Andy Lyttle's suggestion. ^W was my default assumption for
closing what appears to be a tab.
