This might belong in imagelib. Ocasionally I've noticed that the last line or two of the image (before it's loaded) is sometimes filled with random garbage (usually when I scroll it up and down off the screen while it's loading), suggesting an uninitialized or out-of-bounds read. I believe this has happened to me with both GIF and JPEG files (definitely GIFs), so it seems more likely to be compositor rather than imagelib. I'll attach a picture of it.

I need a test case. Can you provide a URL?

Moving all to M14
Haven't seen this problem in a while (I'm on a fast connection now, though, so I rarely wait long enough for images to load). Seems like the same thing as observed in bug 1248; marking as dup. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 1248 ***
