The 'Send to TV' tutorial is actually embedding a remote site for the flexibility of editing message in the future (i.e. no app update need). However, there is no clear document to indicate where the remote site source code is. It's better to link different code repositories, so others can maintain them.

The bug 1227812 will add the README file at the TV app side.
