User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:42.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/42.0 Build ID: 20151029151421 Steps to reproduce: Log into machine locally (Windows 7) Open tab with sound (mine was http://onlineclock.net/bg/fireplace/ ) Mute the tab using the new feature of clicking the speaker in the tab Log in remotely using "mstsc" / Terminal Server Client ( my exact method is documented at http://www.revragnarok.com/blog/blog/2008/06/01/19.34 but the ssh part shouldn't matter) Actual results: Sound comes out of tab until I re-find it and re-mute it Expected results: Tab should have stayed muted

This is native <audio> not Flash. This is not a high-priority bug, but Ehsan do you have clues as to what causes this or where a fix might live?

Hmm, this is weird. Paul, do you know if we do anything fancy about our audio output when you connect to the machine through terminal services? Also, Aaron, can you please check to see if the same problem happens when you mute the audio using the built-in mute button for example on <http://people.mozilla.org/~eakhgari/small-shot.ogg>?

I can't even replicate it now for myself. :-/ Is there a keyboard hotkey I could have hit that unmuted? That ogg clip stayed muted across a disconnect just fine. As is the original page now. I guess you can close it up as "couldn't replicate."

(In reply to Aaron D. Marasco from comment #3) > I can't even replicate it now for myself. :-/ > > Is there a keyboard hotkey I could have hit that unmuted? Yeah, I think it's Ctrl+M on Windows. We show it on the tooltip for the mute button. > That ogg clip stayed muted across a disconnect just fine. As is the original > page now. > > I guess you can close it up as "couldn't replicate." OK, fair! Please reopen the bug if you find a way to reproduce it again. And thanks for the bug report! :-)
