+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #1154432 +++

After executing smooth_scroll method in gallery app, manually pinching the screen does not cause the screen to zoom in/out.  To break from this state, one needs to double tap the screen to zoom.  After that, one can resume pinching normally.
