Details

I stored a Mozilla profile on a network drive and use it with different
computers running Win95 and Win98. When i start the first win95 computer with
Mozilla's turbo-mode enabled, the Navigator window automaticaly pops up and
loads a Mozilla page containing something like 'Welcome to Mozilla,
congratulations...' (url: .../start). On the second Win95 computer this message
appears only when i open a navigator window by right clicking on the turbo-mode
icon and choosing navigator. in win98 Mozilla works ok.
Reporter:
Do you use the same profile at the same time from different systems ?
(including quicklaunch)
Do you use different Builds on your systems ?
its possible that i updated one computer and used several times this profile
with two different versions.

its always possible that i sometimes used one profile with 2 computers at the
same time.
If you start your system and quicklaunch is active, the Profile is in use and
the prefs.js file is overwritten from each Mozilla process.

You start system A with quicklaunch (m0.9.7).
It goes to the Mozilla start page because the prefs.js is leat written from a
M0.9.7+ version.This mozilla saves it's version string in the prefs.js (0.9.7)
You start system B. The prefs.js contains the versions string 0.9.7 but this
version is a nightly build with the UA string 0.9.7+. It goes to the Mozilla
start page and saves it version string in the prefs.js (0.9.7+)

If you want to avoid this you must use the same Mozilla version on all Systems !

We want a to add a pref that mozilla ignores the "mozilla home page" pref.
