From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.7) Gecko/20020121
BuildID: 0.9.7
app : galeon 1.0.2 , gecko 0.9.7
I was reading the comments when the galeon s window goes black and the app
crashed. I restarted it and it immediately crashed ... tried ten times then i
purge mozilla-browser libs and bin and reinstalled them.
Then i had no further problems: i assumed gecko had been corrupted.
Reproducible: Didn't try
Steps to Reproduce:
1.let the browser up 10 hours , just surfing a few.
2. that s all sorry
3.
Actual Results: The error log when starting from a console was a standard segfault.
after the first crash galeon was unable to access gecko for ever (until i purge
and reinstall the mozilla pakage).
Expected Results: freed it s memory and exit properly ... or avoid crashing :)
i use a debian sid with a kernel 2.4.17 self compiled
and use gacko through the galeon ui

We can't fix this without more informations.
What was corrupted: Your Profile or your Mozilla installation itself ?
If the mozilla installation was corrupted: Have you saved your old installation ?
(component.reg...)

Sorry the reason why i didn t gave more infos was fully explained by the fact
that at my first attempt to reinstall gecko the bug was cleaned ...
as i was just making the place clean in the expectancy that the bug was from the
galeon side i had made no backup ... i was just cleaning the environment :(
That s why i put this but in a low status ... but it was changed by another guy
whom i suspect got no further infos on the problem
You can just delete it ... if i succed in reproducing it , i will backup all its
files
I might be seeing this now.. Trying to run moz or galeon segfaults with no
output or corefile.. On RedHat Rawhide (moz 0.9.8-2)
[root@algar archives]# /usr/bin/mozilla
Segmentation fault
[root@algar archives]#
Deleting component.reg did not help; rpm -Uvh --force mozilla*rpm did not help.
nightlies work fine though, installed to /usr/local/mozilla/.
I'll attache the component.reg if that matters..
